Educator preparation programs across the country are striving to equip educators with the knowledge and skills to enact equity-focused practices aligned with the science of learning and development (SoLD). Many competing and overlapping frameworks can guide the implementation of this work, yet the complexity can be overwhelming for programs. Attendees joined faculty and administrators from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education to learn about the challenges they have faced and the strategies they have used to incorporate culturally responsive and sustaining practices in four of their preparation programs. Speakers shared key learnings and implications and also share context for the upcoming EdPrepLab site visit on April 10, 2024.
