This resource provides the sequence of courses for leadership candidates in the UC Berkeley Principal Leadership Institute for the 2019–20 academic year, which spans over two semesters and two summer sessions. Principal candidates complete two semesters and one summer session of field work through their participation in the Education 460A: Practicum in School Site Management course. Additionally, principal candidates take a range of courses that cover school leadership and management, supervision theory and practice, organizational policy, school finance, and data management and analysis. Principal candidates are expected to complete a minimum of 40 units and pass an oral examination to earn the master’s degree and teaching credential.
