Leveraging EdPrepLab to Strengthen Educator Preparation: Faculty Engagement and District Partnerships

Collaboration between district partners and educator preparation faculty is key to building a sustainable educator workforce that enacts deeper learning practices in pre–k–12 schools. However, amidst the pandemic and the organizational transitions endemic to educator preparation, it can be challenging to engage faculty and district partners consistently and effectively, including working through EdPrepLab.

The University of Connecticut hosted an interactive session that included a presentation and small group discussion sharing strategies their leadership used to garner support and interest in the work of EdPrepLab across constituencies. They highlighted their systematic outreach to teacher preparation faculty and personalized invitations to rural, suburban, and urban districts.
