Individual Development Plan for Induction
This document is a self-assessment protocol designed by the High Tech High Teacher Center. The individual development plan is designed for new teachers and their mentors to use as they are transitioning into the teacher induction process. New teachers identify three areas for growth based on their teaching performance assessment (TPA) results and develop improvement plans, with specific attention to areas scored as unskilled or emerging. The rubric focuses on the following teaching performance expectations (TPEs): (1) engaging and supporting all students in learning, (2) creating and maintaining environments for student learning, (3) understanding and organizing subject matter for student learning, (4) planning instruction and designing learning experiences for all students, (5) assessing student learning, and (6) developing as a professional educator.
