Danforth Educational Leadership Program Guidebook
This intern guidebook created by the University of Washington – College of Education provides readers with an overview of the yearlong intensive internship experience. Danforth interns are required to document at least 1,000 hours of authentic leadership experiences served in schools and/or district roles throughout the school year; 400 of those hours are dedicated to building institutional capacity. Additionally, this handbook includes an at-a-glance calendar, review of roles and responsibilities, pathways to securing internship sites and mentors, expectations for site observations, review of internship requirements and assignments (e.g., end-of-year summative assessment, professional growth plan, etc.), and other materials related to program logistics and expectations.
