What exemplary practices have EdPrepLab members showcased in 2022–23 during site visits and Learning Cafés? What practices are members engaging in—in classes, programs, and institutions—that foster deeper learning for educators in context? And how might we, as the EdPrepLab community of practice, further engage in parallel learning experiences with one another? At our virtual 2023 Spring Convening, EdPrepLab invited members to reprise and reflect on some of the 2022–23 year’s most meaningful programming and to collaborate with colleagues around new and ongoing ways to participate, contribute, and connect. The convening opened with a year-in-review video that spotlighted key EdPrepLab events and contributions to the field. Next, participants gathered with colleagues from across the network in small groups on Zoom to share practices from their own programs. Participants shared at least one slide that answered the question: “What is one promising SoLD-aligned practice in your program or institution?” This year’s convening was also an opportunity to learn more about site visits hosted by EdPrepLab member institutions. In a series of fishbowl discussions, participants learned about programmatic highlights from the visits—as well as the experiences of hosting and/or attending a site visit. We also considered specific applications for future practice. We closed our time together by looking ahead to 2023–24 EdPrepLab events, announcements, and opportunities.
