While programs that prepare educators for deeper learning and equity are distinguished by their commitments, practices, and content, it is the work of program design and administration that supports and enables such preparation. Programs may follow a variety of models, but what all such programs share is their initial investment in, and ongoing attention to, the structures that undergird their efforts. Programs must engage in articulating and instantiating values, directing and maintain resources, and forming and sustaining relationships internally and with external partners, all under the guidance of intentional leadership and with the participation and engagement of faculty, staff, and candidates.
