This set of resources from Special Olympics under the Young Athletes program provides 8 weeks of sport and play curriculum for students ages 2 to 7 with and without intellectual disabilities. The resource states that the curriculum is research-based and designed to develop motor skills like balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination. The curriculum requires students to participate in three 30-minute sessions each week. Each daily lesson includes an opening sports song, a few 5- to 10-minute activities, and a closing sports song. Students in this program will also become familiar with a wide variety of sports equipment, including balance beams, parachutes, cones, gloves, and balls.
