This 90-minute webinar hosted by the Center to Improve Social and Emotional Learning and School Safety at WestEd features participants from five states in the Transforming Kindergarten Collaborative. Presenters connect equity and the science of learning and development (SoLD) to their efforts in early education and discuss how states are taking action to support young learners. The webinar covers the role of vision and theory of change in educational systems, the need for developmentally appropriate practices, and equity in kindergarten transition. Participants focus on alignment and coherence, developmentally appropriate practice in kindergarten, and equitable kindergarten transitions.
