This extensive resource from George Fox University’s Trauma Response Institute introduces educators to the tri-phasic model of trauma-informed school practices. It provides educators with background on the need for whole-child approaches and trauma-informed practices in schools to address behavioral, academic, and mental health needs of students. It then examines the science of learning and development principles that are foundational to trauma-informed practice. The resource lists and describes 17 dispositions of trauma-informed educators. It includes reflection questions and application exercises throughout as well as links to other resources.
