Teacher Preparation for Whole Child Design

This policy report from the National Association of State Boards of Education presents a whole-child approach to educator preparation that models and reflects the science of learning and development. In addition to providing guiding principles for equitable whole-child design, the report includes the knowledge, skills, and dispositions for teaching that teacher preparation programs should be developing in candidates. Recommendations for state policymakers are provided to help state education agencies and boards of education to build a diverse teacher workforce to support this whole-child design.
