Support for English Learners in the History–Social Science Classroom Video
This webinar from the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s Content, Literacy, Inquiry, and Citizenship Project explores ideas and techniques to support and challenge their English language learner (EL) students in history and/or social science classes. The webinar includes specific examples of ways teachers can more effectively engage EL students, centering students’ feelings while retaining an asset-based mindset. The webinar focuses on how teachers can utilize the Circles of Implementation to support students’ content and language knowledge.
