This video and slide deck are from a briefing in which speakers discussed approaches to teacher and leader preparation that help educators develop the skills to help them be responsive to the needs of a diverse student population. Approaches include high-quality residency programs and Grow Your Own models. Speakers also discussed the types of skills educators need to create inclusive classrooms that provide each and every student with a high-quality education that includes opportunities to develop skills such as critical thinking, complex problem-solving, effective communication, collaboration, and academic mindsets.
