This set of resources, created by HTH Graduate School of Education and the Mathematical Agency Improvement Community, explains the core practices of lesson study and gives an in-depth overview of the goals and norms for regularly implementing lesson study into mathematics teaching praxis.

Resources for Those New to Lesson Study explains the four core practices of lesson study, which are: (1) looking at student work protocol, (2) anticipating student thinking and determining a mathematical goal, (3) determining an equity goal, and (4) planning and scripting a lesson to anticipate student thinking. Coaching Cycles to Build Capacity for Lesson Study provides reflection guides and planning tools based on the lesson study core practices that teachers may use as guides during the planning and implementation of lesson study.
