Pursuing Equity at the Intersection of Language, Culture, and Disability: Research-Informed Practice Video

October 2022 | National Center for Systemic Improvement at WestEd

This 80-minute webinar from the National Center for Systemic Improvement at WestEd focuses on research-informed practices for students designated as English learners with disabilities. The speakers explore how existing practices often fail to address the intersecting needs of students who are English learners with a disability and then share ways to move forward using equitable research-informed frameworks that honor students’ language, culture, and ability. The presentation closes with a discussion of misconceptions and then recommends resources that could be used to support growth and learning.
