The Bank Street Graduate School of Education provides an overview of its partnership with Newark Public Schools. The aim of the project was to develop Pre-K Instructional Expectations (PIE), a 3-year systemwide instructional improvement plan for all pre-k students and families. In addition, the Education Center and NPS worked together to build the capacity of school leaders and coaches to implement developmentally appropriate curricula across classrooms. This resource provides an example of how educator preparation programs can strengthen their relationship with local school districts through collaborative projects.
