This program is open to students who have already obtained a bachelor’s degree in any field who want to become licensed to teach special education or to pursue dual-certification in special education and elementary education. This program includes coursework in maintaining inclusive and equitable learning environments, student advocacy, and promoting interpersonal and intrapersonal awareness. The program culminates in an applied action research project in which candidates apply what they’ve learned to address a challenge in the classroom.
