This program handbook created by the Lehman College – School of Education provides readers with an overview of the vision, program design, and campus policies and resources for their teacher preparation program. The Educational Leadership Graduate Program at Lehman offers a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and an Advanced Educational Leadership/District Leader Certification program. The Lehman Urban Transformative Education Conceptual Framework serves as the vision for their School of Education, which focuses on four themes: (1) empower a community of educators and learners; (2) educate and advocate for social action and equity; (3) realize potential; and (4) affirm diverse ethnic and cultural contexts. Additionally, this handbook includes a review of roles and responsibilities, an educational improvement plan rubric, overview of candidate assessment processes, and other materials related to program logistics and expectations.
