Leading for Equity Framework

This framework from the National Equity Project provides a reference to enable leaders to navigate the territory of equity challenges and to develop the capacity to engage in purposeful leadership action. It intends to help leaders build habits of mind that are continually in practice and provide a set of tools, frames, and processes that leaders can use in their work. The framework asserts that equity leadership moves from the “inside-out,” instead of from top down, and that how leaders see informs how they engage, which informs how they act. The site also includes an online resource, linked above, that features videos and resource documents aligned with a four-part learning series for school, district, and county office of education leaders developed by the National Equity Project and the California Department of Education.
