December 2017 | Wallace Foundation

This handbook from the Wallace Foundation and author Jody Spiro is a collection of tools designed to provide leaders with action steps to take and key questions to ask before implementing change and during the process. Each section provides documents, rubrics, or score sheets that can help leaders during the phases of implementing change. There are seven main topics: (1) assessing readiness, (2) analyzing stockholders, (3) planning early wins, (4) minimizing resistance, (5) using collaborative planning, (6) spreading and sustaining change, and (7) making continuous improvements or course corrections. The guide concludes with change management examples and narratives from school leaders in Gwinnett County, GA.
