This research article from the Psychological and Cognitive Sciences reports findings from a quasi-experimental longitudinal study on research–practice partnerships that leveraged the Cultural Cycle Framework (CCF) to expand cultural inclusion. The CCF is a cultural change model used at the leadership training level to shift ideas, institutions, interactions, and individuals. By assessing teachers and students, authors found that leadership-level training enhanced schoolwide beliefs about cultural inclusion, that when teachers enforced the use of culturally inclusive beliefs they tended to use culturally inclusive practices, and that teachers’ use of culturally inclusive practices predicated enhanced student psychosocial and academic outcomes. This report is well suited for researchers, leader preparation administrators, and those interested in developing more culturally responsive school communities.
