This syllabus is for Montclair State University’s Inclusive Classrooms Secondary course, which is an 8-week, 1-credit, hybrid module. In the course, candidates learn about the most inclusive practices for teaching students with disabilities. Candidates learn how to decipher an individual education plan (IEP), understand the legal aspects of special education, develop awareness about issues that impact students with disabilities, and implement strategies and modifications to an IEP to align it with state standards.
