Exploring the Intersection of Race and Disability Video

February 2021 | WestEd and National Center for Systemic Improvement

In this webinar series hosted by West Ed’s National Center for Systemic Improvement (NCSI), thought leaders in the field focus on the intersection of race and disability in special education and across education more broadly to discuss the ways that systems impact the conditions and outcomes for Black students. The series is geared toward state education agency (SEA) staff (within special education) and other stakeholders, including representatives of parent and family organizations, local education agency (LEA) staff, and state-level or national technical assistance or professional development providers. Topics are organized around NCSI’s three priority systems foundations: data literacy, research-informed practice, and systems coherence.
