The Global Teaching Transformed blog series extends EdPrepLab’s commitment to advancing research-informed practice into an international context. Drawing on insights from the network’s World Café convenings, this six-part series explores how the science of learning and development (SoLD) is being interpreted, adapted, and applied in teacher education around the world. Authored by members of EdPrepLab’s international advisory group, the series highlights innovative strategies for aligning teacher preparation with what we now know about how students learn best, while also reflecting the unique cultural and policy landscapes in which programs operate.
Each blog offers a window into the possibilities of SoLD in action—whether through rethinking how candidates learn in practice, reimagining partnerships with schools, or shaping policies that better support new teachers. Weaving diverse perspectives together, the series encourages dialogue across borders and invites educators, leaders, and policymakers to consider how lessons learned internationally can spark fresh thinking and inspire transformation in their own communities.
