June 2022 | RAND Corporation and the Wallace Foundation

This report from the RAND Corporation and the Wallace Foundation discusses findings from six multiyear case studies of schools and their social and emotional learning  (SEL) program partners. The study indicates the importance of both in-school and out-of-school program leaders’ commitment to SEL. Strategies for successfully implementing SEL included starting with building adults’ and then children’s SEL skills and continuing the SEL work through distributed leadership.
